Wicker
Tray
Given
Me
Long
Ago,
By
A
Dear
Friend
I no
Longer
Know.
Dried
Out
By
Desert
Air,
It
Shattered,
Throwing
Fragments
Everywhere.
The
Lady
Is
In
Italy,
The
Last
I heard,
Then
No
Further
Word.
I miss
Her,
And
Despite
This
Loss
I can’t
Replace,
I still
Recall
The
Kindness,
And
Her
Lovely
Face.

But
An
Army
Of
Flashy,
Dancing
Gals
Who
Bay
Like
Beagles.

Drifted
Far
Away
From
Strobing
Glare
And
Empty
Lyrics
That
Go
Nowhere.
These
Days,
For
My
Part,
Bach
And
Mozart
Reach
The
Heights
Of
Art,

Night,
Hatch
After
Hatch
Obscures
The
The
Light
Until
All
Is
Black
From
The
Lack.
These
Lines
Are
Fugitive
And
Forlorn
Until
The
Morn
Returns
To
Me
In
A
Symphony,
And
Again,
I can
See.
