Passing Through

*Journey To Madrid* 20" H X 32" W Oil On Linen
The
Sun
Fell
Down
Outside
The
Town,
Old
Houses
Rickety
In
The
Twilight
Of
A
Fast
Approaching
Night.
The
Village
Perished
Ages
Ago,
Before
Folk
Came
To
Display
Mementos
Of
Another
Day.
But
When
That
Day
Is
Done
And
Merchants
Drift
Away,
One
By
One
The
Shadows
Come,
To
Take
Their
Places
Among
The
Jewelry
And
Painted
Vases.

I don’t
Mind
Being
Confined.
I take
The
Time
To
Meditate
On
Whatever
I last
Ate.
Here,
Under
The
Kitchen
Sink,
I can
Enjoy
A
Quiet
Drink,
And
Take
The
Necessary
Time
To
Think.
However,
It’s
Becoming
Mighty
Hard
Not
To
Be
Out
In
The
Yard.

Fragile

Of
Bleeding
Hearts,
Some
Fully
Open
As
Others
Start
To
Split
Asunder,
A
White
Extrusion
Under,
Like
A
Secret
Revealed,
Of
Hearts
Never
To
Be
Healed.

*Duy Huynh* Starcatcher
When
My
Courage
Wilts,
I put
On
Stilts
And
Reach
Up
To
The
Sky,
To
Capture
Stars
As
They
Whirl
By.
No
Matter
How
Hard
I try,
They
Slip
My
Grasp.
Dawn
Breaks
And
I forget
This
Task,
Left
Too
Low
To
Catch
It
All,
Too
High
To
Risk
A
Dreamy
Fall,
So
Float
Down
To
The
Ground
Intact,
Glad
To
Be
Back.

*Passage* 20" H X 24" W Oil On Linen
There
Is
A
Passage
To
The
Other
Side,
Across
The
Wide
Divide
We
Face,
To
Reach
A
Better
Space
That
We
Can
Share.
Good
Health
Is
Over
There,
And
We
Prepare
To
Live
Together
And
Apart.
At
Least,
We
Can
Make
A
Start.

Calm
Is
The
Balm
That
Can
Soothe
And
Comfort.
Steer
Clear
Of
Rocky
Fear
As
We
Travel
This
Rough
Sea,
And
Together,
Strive
To
Keep
Our
Little
Boat
Afloat.

*Head* Carved Colorado Alabaster Ebonized Walnut Base 15 1/2" Total Height
Ah,
For
The
Ability
In
These
Stressful
Times,
To
Cultivate
Tranquility.
Instead,
I mourn
The
Loss
Of
Paper
Goods,
Six
Feet
Away
From
All
I should,
Lest
I fall
Into
A
Deadly
Thrall,
Unable
To
Draw
A
Breath
Without
Risking
Death.
I’m
Ohming
My
Ass
Off
Over
Here,
Avoiding
Useless
Fear,
And
So
Far,
Don’t
Have
Any
Fever
Or
A
Cough.

I say

Shame
I play
That
Game.

They
Lie,
To
Fool
Your

As
You
Pass
By.

Sturdy
Enough
To
Stand,
Then
Cast
In
Plaster,
And
Dodging
Disaster,
Cast
Again
In
Molten

Fit
To
Last
A
Century
Or
Two,
Work
I was
Pleased
To
Do.

The

Are

Worry
Looms

Our
